A Public Prosecutor has recommend a 73-year prison sentence for a woman who forced five women into prostitution in Almuñécar.

The woman, who is originally from Paraguay, tricked compatriot young women into coming to Spain to take up good jobs. Instead, she had them locked up in two flats within the municipality, forced to prostitute themselves 24 hours a day.

Furthermore, two Spanish men and another Paraguayan woman are also implicated. The Public Prosecutor has recommended sentences for them of between eleven and 40 years’ incarceration, as well as having to pay a total of 39,000 euros in moral damages to the five victims.

Editorial comment: they will all find out what it is like to have to perform sex against their will during their stay in prison if found guilty.
