Human Remains Confirmed

The Guardia Civil has confirmed that the bones that were found in Sorvilán in July are those of the young man who disappeared on the 9th of March.

ECO Los YesosThe 26-year-old man, of North African origin, had gone missing from Los Yesos, which is a coastal village belonging to Sorvilán.

It was the discovery of a human femur that led to the confirmation through DNA testing that it did, in fact, belong to the missing man.

Around a score of residents from the municipality of Sorvilán had formed a search party on the 13th of March looking for the victim.

According to the Mayor of Sorvilán, Pilar Sánchez, the man had not returned home after work and he had left no indication that he had intended to go away.
