Where can you get a decent haircut? Well, if you're in Granada, at Ángel M Peluquerías, because the owner came sixth in the World Hairdresser Championships in France.
The event was held in Paris on the 11th of September and competitors from 53 countries took part and Granada-born José Molina Bonilla, along with two other Spanish competitors did pretty damned well.
It was Jose’s efforts in the Senior Gents Barber Fades test that got him the points. This particular test is a combined test that consists of doing a classic haircut combined with a more innovative one.
Having stood shoulder to shoulder with the best of the best, he is more than happy with this 6th place: “I am very satisfied with the final result and for having participated in this elite competition, which is the best there is in hairdressing,” he explained proudly.
This was not his first bash at an international championship in hairdressing as in 2002 he achieved seventh place in the world championship held in Milan (Italy) together with his brother Ángel. In fact, they have 90 awards between them.
He hopes to do better next year, though, which will be held in France again and will compete alongside his brothers Ángel and Víctor.
So there you have it, Ángel M Peluquerías on Calle Mesones, 39 in Granada is just the place for a short back and sides combined with a Mohican-style crest… what more could you ask for?
