Art in Cómpeta

New exhibition in October in Galeria Luz de la Vida! Tierra-Mar-Cielo.

AND Galeria Luz de la Vida! Tierra-Mar-CieloGaleria Luz de la Vida is a feel-good place in Competa. It has the authentic looks of the Spanish/ Moorish, whitewashed village architecture and a nice little pearl at the back, the garden with Mosaic wall decoration and the banana trees.

The gallery is a place where one can find International art of good quality, paintings, bronze, steel and ceramic sculptures. But there are also smaller art works, postcards and posters.

Jonny Barrett will be showing a range of recent paintings at Galeria Luz de la Vida in Competa from 5th October till the 28th.

From 5th to the 7th he will be demonstrating his working processes and painting techniques. Please see examples of his work created in the Costa Tropical in Spain at: www.jonnybarrett.com

Jonny is a painter, printmaker and artist bookmaker based at Bloom Art Space in Malvern U.K. and also spends six months in his studio in Spain. His evocative images are an intuitive and sensory reaction to the natural environments of both Spain and the UK.

He has an exuberant and vibrant use of colour combined with vigorous mark-making. He pours overlapping colours, scraping and scratching into the painted surface pigments to create a visceral and unique quality. Meet him in person at the Galeria Luz de la Vida, Competa (Malaga).

Lieuwke Loth is a Dutch artist and runs the Art gallery and organizes local art events, like the Monthly Art & Craft Ruta and since this sprintime she and a team of 5 started with the concept of Cómpeta as Cultural Hub.

The lasercut steel collection is customizable to your individual specifications. You can brighten your home or garden with these beautiful and special art pieces.
