Tonight between 19.00h and 22.30h, residents of Lobres will light candles in their window to mark La Fiestas de La Candelaria.
This particular arrangement (III Noche de las Candelas) came about during the Covid restrictions, so it is not a tradition that goes back very far.
But it is not only about turning off all the lights in the village and lighting candles, which is well worth a visit, because there are also classical music concerts around the village:
Sofía Ruiz will play the Oboe in the Ermita de San Antonio; Nuria Díaz will play the Saxophone in the Iglesia de San Antonio and Alberto Villaescusa will play the Grand Piano in the Casa de La Cultura during the candle-lit hours.
Finally, at the beginning of Calle Constitución Jesús Alonso and Pepe Haro will perform with the Spanish Guitar.
