Not Sad and Very Avoidable

When a drunk driver collided with another car it wasn't necessary to wait until the police turned up as the other vehicle was a patrol car.

GRA Drunk Hits Police Car JN22The driver had a staggering amount of alcohol in his system because he gave a breathalyser reading of 1.06 mg/l.

Bear in mind that anything over 0.60mg/l is considered a criminal offence and not just a fine & loss of points from your licence.

The police officers had climbed out of their scratched patrol car and blinked when the offender wound down his window because of the whiff oozing out.

They parked the car for him to await a municipal tow truck and took him straight to the police cells to await appearing before a magistrate on Monday morning.

The incident took place in the early hours of Saturday on Avenida Fernando de los Ríos.
