The Junta de Andalucía has made available 100 ward beds in Hospital Doctor Olóriz in Granada, as well as eight in the ICU for victims of the war in Ukraine.
The Minister of Public Health for the Junta, in conjunction with the Minister of Health for the Central Government, evaluated the present needs generated by Covid, as well as normal demands on the Public Health System in order to make room for any casualties from this Eastern-Europe conflict.
Accordingly, beds were allocated in the Hospital Doctor Olóriz de Granada, with logistical support from the Hospital Universitario Clínico San Cecilio, as well as the Hospital Universitario Virgen de las Nieves.
“Andalucía takes a pace forward and adopts measures out of solidarity,” said the regional PM, Juanma Moreno, adding, “we’re with these people who are suffering in that horror.”
