Almuñécar residents are petitioning for the renaming of Plaza Kelibia to José Jabeque, in honour of recently deceased José Antonio Ruiz Aneas.

José, many will remember, was the owner of Pub Jabeque. He had been diagnosed with cancer just over a month ago and passed away on Saturday the 5th at the age of 52.

The person behind the petition is Yannick Arrimadas, who has put an online petition on Change.org. Within 48 hours, the petition already had 1,000 signatures.
