There has been a fire within the municipality of Molvízar, which by 20.50h last night had been declared “under control.”
The air units (a helicopter and a water-bomber aircraft) were withdrawn before nightfall, leaving 40 fire fighters to finish off the task and make sure that it does not spring up again.
Infoca was alerted to the fire at 19.47h and land & air units were immediately sent to the scene, which affected a wooded area but did not threaten any dwellings or the autovía which runs close to where the fire occurred.
The last mountain fire in Molvizar was on March the 16th, 2016 when a fire on abandoned agricultural land consumed just over two hectares, before reaching the border with Lentegi where it consumed another half a hectar of brushland.

Update 20:12h: Molvízar fire declared extinguished at 13.20h this afternoon, having consumed 7.5 hectars of brush land.
