Visitors to Granada who spend at least two nights in a hotel now have access to the Alhambra monument, thanks to the Granada Card Pernocta offer.
Yes, you read correctly; if you spend two nights or more in a hotel in Granada city you will have guaranteed access for 16 euros per entrance ticket.
Where’s the catch? Well, there’s not one really, but this offer has a limit, which is 500 per day.
Tourists will have a choice between five options: Granada Card Alhambra, Nocturna de Palacios, Jardines, Experiencias Alhambra and Granada Card Ciudad. All of these options include several monuments, as well as The Alhambra.
So, how do you get yours? Well, as the Mayor of Granada, Paco Cuenca, explained, first you must apply beforehand at the hotel where you are going to stay, requesting the Granada Card Pernocta, tourism coupon.
The idea, of course, is to use the pulling power of the Alhambra to get more trade for hotels. The fact that it is hard to get hold of entrance tickets nowadays with booking well ahead makes this an even greater offer.
The scheme is also to make it more attractive to actually stay up there rather than just popping up for the day.
Well, there you have it, take advantage of the fact that the Alhambra is Spain’s most visited monument! If you want more info you can visit the official webpage.
