Costas has announced that it will recommence the work on the Paseo Maritimo in Salobreña shortly with a budget of 800,000 euros.
What started off life as emergency repair work then turned into a full blown paseo overhaul from the mouth of the Guadalfeo to Salomar 2000.
The first stage of the work took place in 2015, which was to dig out the sand from under the damaged paseo and sort the beach out, erecting a small wall to separated the beach from what was the paseo at that end of the beach.
The second stage was last summer with the plan of finishing off everything by September 2016, but the money ran out and the building site fell into inactivity and silence around the end of that October.
Finally, with this 800,000 budget it seems thing will actually reach a happy conclusion just before Easter in 2017.
