Yet another beach tragedy, this time in Torre de Mar, involving a 70-year-old German woman who drowned this morning, August the 23rd.
The incident occurred at the western end of the beach, in front of the Chiringuito Colonia.
A couple had seen the woman but thought that it was somebody on the surface with goggles looking at the bottom, some five or six metres from the shore. When a couple of minutes went by without the person moving, they mentioned it to a waiter.
The 25-year-old waiter immediately ran into the water and brought her to the shore.
That is now 13 people who have died from drowning or a heart attack on the province of Málaga’s beaches.
The British man that died on a Torrox beach two days ago has been named as Reece Bryan Morris, father of two, from London.
