The Guardia Civil in Manilva (Málaga) arrested a Romanian man and his son (a minor) over an act of aggression with a baseball bat against neighbours.

However, the father claims that it was the alleged victims, two Germans, who were in fact the aggressors.

According to the father, the two German men turned up at his flat, armed with a baseball bat. He said that he and his son managed to wrestle the bat from one of them and then were able to use it to defend themselves against the Germans.

The incident occurred around 14.00h in the Urbanziación Los Hidalgos. The emergency services received a call from a minor to say that two men had been injured in a fight in the area. Both the Guardia Civil and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene.

The injuries that the two Germans (49 and 60) had suffered were serious, so much so that a helicopter was called in to the evacuate them.

Both men are in the Hospital Costa del Sol and their condition is said to be serious but stable.
