An only child was run over in a block-community garage on Easter Sunday in Valencia. The child died later, in the early hours of the next day, in Hospital La Fe in Valencia.

The 2-year-old child had been playing in the garage whilst the parents were sorting out their storeroom, within the community garage. However, a female driver leaving the garage didn’t see the child squatting down, playing with a stone, and ran over him, causing serious head injuries.

The parents and the driver were in a state of shock but it was the father who managed to retrieve the child from under the wheel despite being in deep distress.

“Nobody moved in the first seconds after the accident,” explained one eyewitness, “everybody was in a state of shock.”

The parents rushed the child in their car to the nearest hospital, arriving in a matter of minutes. However, owing to the gravity of the child’s injuries, she was rushed to the main hospital.
