The national bus company, ALSA (Alsina) has installed an automatic, bus-ticket machine in the Motril tourist information office.
The Mayor, Luisa García Chamorro, and the area manager of ALSA, Valeriano Díaz, posed for a photograph next to the machine in the tourist information office, next to the park.
Yes, there is still no new bus station, but you can at least get bus times and tickets for the buses without traipsing up to the old bus station at the top of town.
Sr. Díaz pointed out that Motril has a turnover of 400,000 bus passengers a year.
