Almuñécar threw the switch on its Feria de Verano last night, Saturday the 9th, and the party began.

The Almuñécar municipal brass band, which is celebrating its 40th birthday this year, accompanied the inaugural event, followed by the traditional Cabezones (giant heads)

The Councillor for Fiestas, María del Mar Medina, pointed out that the fiesta street lighting had been extended to include Avenida Fenicia and Calle Larache this year, using low-consumption led lighting.

The fiestas will culminate on the 15th with the celebrated firework show, so don’t miss it!
