Twin Town Helps Out

ALM German interest OnLThe Almuñécar Town Hall has decided to ask Fürstenfeldbruck, which is its twinned Bavarian town, for a helping hand.

Representatives from both town halls got together during mutual visits to look into finding employment for workers from their sister town.

Consequently, the Chairman of the Bavarian association for self-employed workers and small & medium companies, Ingolf F. Brauner, came to Almuñécar to have a chat with Mayor Trinidad Herrera.

He announced that his visit was part of preparations for a Employment Meeting that will take place around mid-November between business figures and politicians from Baveria and the Almuñécar authorities as well as those locals interested in finding work or training for work in Germany.

The Mayor pointed out how important this offer of job training and language acquisition is, especially as it is guaranteed both by the Almuñécar and Fürstenfeldbruck town halls.

She emphasized that anything to do with professional training, getting to know foreign countries and their languages will always be of great importance for a tourism-based economy such as Almuñécar’s. Add to that the job training where the student is paid to combine job training and actual work in the same companies and you come away with something, “even more attractive.”

A webpage will soon be made available at www.e-bayern.eu where those interested in participating in the scheme can find more information about the conditions and aims.

The scheduled meeting between the German companies and local hopefuls will take place in Almuñécar on the 16th and 17th of November.
