The underground car park in Velilla is nearing completion, with the building company already laying curbstones at the water park end. One-way wheeled traffic will be available from the 26th of March to the 4th of April; i.e., over Semana Santa, before being closed again.
The construction company that is building the groyne, Ferrovial-Agromán, is the company that is laying the curbs – not the one that is building the car park. Once they actually finish the groyne, then they will start laying the mains water pipes, as well as the sewage, electricity and phone installations along the 237 metres that separate the water park from the new car park.
Another feature that will be available is a bicycle lane, as well as extensive gardens, and a ramp down to the beach for hauling pleasure craft up from the beach.
