The fantastic Trentham Shakespeare Company is coming to our area to perform A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
The company was formed in 2006 and the company’s first production was in fact A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and included many of the actors who will be performing here in Spain.
Director and founder of thge company is Brian Rawlins, who began his drama career giving puppet shows in a South London park at the age of eight and charging his neighbours 2 old pence a time to watch! Since then, he has risen through the Central School of Speech and Drama in London and later qualified as a drama teacher at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and became a Licentiate Member of the Royal Academy of Music. Since then, he has directed both amateur and professional companies in 54 productions and has appeared in some 90 plays and musicals in various parts of the United Kingdom.
Performances will be at the Centro Cultural in Nerja on Monday 25th January at 8pm with €15 tickets available from Centro Cultural and Smiffs Bookshop. Then in Auditorio, Salobreña on Wednesday 27th January at 8pm, €15 tickets available from Auditorio, Casa de la Cultura and the Tourist Information office. Finally in Casa de la Cultura, Almuñécar on Friday 29th January at 8pm, €15 tickets available Radiovision, Delfin Books in Almuñécar and Indigo Annie Sloan in La Herradura.
