(LP) Not to be missed this month are the charming ‘concerts by candlelight’ in the gardens of the Palacete de la Najarra (tourist information centre).
Set against the most gorgeous of backdrops the line up is pretty eccentric with something to suit most every musical taste, or at least offer something a little different from the norm.
Taking place every Thursday until the first week of September, there’s Arabic music and dancing, flamenco, tango and blues nights to look forward to. With a maximum of 150 seats available for each concert the ambience is very dreamy and intimate with a focus on the exotic performers.
Concerts start at 9.30 and tickets are only seven euros with a free, local speciality, chirimoya ice-cream (custard fruit). For more information and ticket sales ask at the tourist information centre.
