Shopkeepers and business owners in the centre of Almuñécar have elected a new chairman for their association (Centro Comercial Abierto de Almuñécar); Antonio Gamero, whom many might remember worked in Radiovision before leaving to head the Masters domestic appliance centre in the P-4. His wife runs a bookshop right in front of the bus station, where he can often be found, by the way (Antonio, you owe me at least a beer!)
I bumped into the said man and suggested an interview but he explained that he is still ‘learning the ropes’ to his new job and suggested postponing it until he has got to grips with it.
Antonio takes over from José Miguel Fonollá, who has been the Chairman for over a decade.
