Lorry Sheds Load on Autovía

A lorry on the Granada bypass (Circunvalación de Granada) shed part of its load, damaging four cars and a motorbike travelling behind it.

This incident took place between 16.30h and 17.00h on Friday the 4th of this month on the Motril, Southbound lanes. The driver of the lorry did not stop and nobody had time to make a note of its number plate.

The lorry was carrying building rubble with a tarp over the load but it was not fastened correctly and a large stone fell out, colliding with other vehicles behind it, more or less level with the Centro Comercial Nevada.

The affected vehicle owners are asking for anybody who witnessed the incident to get in contact and help, as their insurance companies refuse to pay for the damages sustained; saying that this should be covered by the lorry’s insurance policy.
