A crane operator had an amazing escape after his machine plummeted 100 metres down into the sea. He had been working on a cliff-top chalet renovation.
Before the crane hit the water, the 58-year-old man managed to jump out and grab hold of a pine branch and hang there until rescued.
Thanks to a rescue operation that took an hour and a half, firemen and a Guardia Civil rescue helicopter, the man was finally lifted to safety and deposited in the nearest general hospital.
