Villagers in the mountain village of Lújar had a hell of a fright when large boulders and earth rolled down off the Tajo de la Señorica yesterday, damaging houses.
The Junta de Andalucía will be making a decision later this week concerning the growing contagion figures owing to the increased mobility over the Christmas period.
Concern continues over the British variant of the virus, especially with the proximity of Gibraltar – the Junta shut down eight neighbouring towns as a buffer.
Whilst contagion figures have increased in other areas of Spain, such as the Balearic Islands, here in Andalucía the increase has been small by comparison.
