The Junta de Andalucía deactivated the Plan de Emergencias por Incendios Forestales yesterday at 09.09h that had been put in place over the Víznar forest fire.
A Junta bigwig, Minister Ramón Fernández-Pacheco, visited the emergency works being carried out on the land damaged by fire in Los Guájares and the Lecrín Valley.
So far this year there have been 388 forest fires in Spain that have consumed 286,418 hectares of vegetation. Spain accounts for 43% of all such fires in the EU.
