The Asociación de Vecinos Cueva de la Virgen in Gualchos has presented almost a thousand signatures in support of a municipal swimming pool in Gualchos.

Gualchos-Castell de Ferro Town Hall duly entered the 928-signature petition into the Registro Municipal.

Mayor Toñi Antequera, in the company of the Councillor for Citizen Participation and the Chairwoman of the neighbourhood association gathered for a photo-op at the municipal registry (which we don’t have room for here) and to show support by the local administration for the idea.

The Mayor said that her team had full support for the idea and that they had already set aside an amount from the 2026 Budget for the acquisition of a suitable plot for the pool installations.

It appears that all political parties are in favour of the project, so it is an all-round-supported project both by the inhabitants of the vilage as well as the political class that represents them.
