Abandoned But Not Empty

Trouble was, it didn’t work out and for a very gory reason… He knew that nobody had lived in this flat for years, so he carefully gained entrance on the 17th of March to look around. His 11-year-old daughter remained on the landing.

Looking around he came across the mummified remains of the flat owner, a woman, so he ran out and phoned the police.

It appears that the woman, Elisa P. G., born in 1924 had died in 2011 so she had been sitting on her couch, where she had died, for 14 years. She had no children and the only relative was a nephew, whom the police contacted and who had thought that his aunt had gone to live in New York in 2011, where she also had a property.

The would-be squatter is looking for somewhere to live, but he said that he is very superstitious and no way would he go back inside the woman’s flat. In fact he went the next day to his local church to light a candle for her so that her soul could find peace… i.e., move on and move out.
