Cotobro to Marine del Este

The Mancomunidad de Municipios de la Costa Tropical is working on the a draft project and a feasibility study for a walkway between the Marina and Cotobro beach.

This section of the planned Senda Litoral will pass through the Playa de El Muerto so that walkers can make their way to and from the marina without having to take the cotobro road up to the Punta de La Mona in order to reach it. The Senda Litoral will run from Cerro Gordo to La Rábita when completed.

The Chairman of the Mancomunidad, Rafael Caballero, explained that their engineers have examined the planned path of the walkway several times in order to establish the best route.

This draft project will calculate in detail the estimated costs, in accordance with the Guía Metodológica para Proyectos de Caminos Naturales belonging to the Ministerio de Transición Ecológica. Logically, the draft will also contain information on environmental impact.

The budget for the draft project and the feasibility study is 18,000 euros and should take around two months to complete.
