One of the members of the PP in Motril has denied claims made by the PSOE opposition group that they are intending to reduce parking spaces near the Los Moriscos golf course.

The PSOE (socialist) made this claim on the 13th of this month concerning the governing party’s project to ‘reorganise and improve’ parking in that area.

The PP Spokesperson, Jose Peña, said that the Camacho administration had no intention of reducing parking spaces, instead they would be maintaining the same number of parking places whilst improving the general surroundings, putting in urban furniture and green areas where all kinds of activities can take place.

Jose Peña said that the creation of this coastline park and the reorganisation of the parking area was a “popular demand from the residents of Playa Granada, adding that weather conditions had wrought deterioration upon the parking area which makes it difficult for drivers.

For this reason, he says, that they are going to improve the lane surface and build a children’s park.
