The Almuñécar fire service had to call upon their colleagues in Motril because of the size of the blaze in the communal garages belonging to this residential area on Calle Valencia.

Before the fire could be extinguished, several vehicles were completely burnt out. Fifty people had to be evacuated temporarily whilst the fire was dealt with.

Nobody was hurt in the fire, although one woman was taken to the medical centre suffering from mild shock.
