The police investigation into the appearance of the body of a man in a cortijo in the beach area of Motril continues.
The body, believed to be that of a homeless man often seen in the area, was found in this single-storey building on a plot of land where Playa Granada and Playa de Poniente meet, near Chiringuito Hoyo 19.
The discovery was made last Sunday, although the man is though to have died at least a month ago, given its state of being almost desiccated. It was surrounded by belongings and discarded bottles and beer cans.
According to police reports, the body was discovered around 10.30h (on the morning of the air display) and has since been taken to the Instituto Anatómico Forense de Granada, for an autopsy to determine the cause of death.
