For those who like looking at birds through binoculars, of the aviary kind, you will be pleased as the Mammoth Interpretation Center has been open since April.
This is thanks to an accord struck between Padul Town Council and the Ornithological Station, whose aim is to keep an eye on the comings and goings of birds (winged) both common and rare species and foster a spot of environmental knowledge for those interested.
Well, actually, it is to increase the number of those interested in bird watching and draw in more volunteers.
They also want to increase the numbers of birdlife within the Padul wetlands along the lines of the other successful, wetland water-fowl reserves.
