Somebody with a defective understanding of private-property ownership broke into a caravan, used as permanent accommodation, in Órgiva and stole a bank card, amongst other items.
The thief, or burglar, then allegedly used the card until his eyes bled to buy scratch cards on the same day as the theft/break-in until the owner finally annulled the card.
The Guardia Civil suspects a 41-year-old individual of having forced open the door on the 16th of March and removed not only a handbag containing the said bankcard but also a bicycle and a tablet.
The police located the ONCE kiosk where the card was used and thanks to footage from a nearby security camera, they were able to identify the suspect, who is a known local bad lad.
He has since been arrested and the bicycle returned to its rightful owner; not so the tablet.
