A woman in Almuñécar had the misfortune of falling into a hole beneath a pavement after it collapsed with her on it.
The accident occurred on Avenida del Mediterráneo around 09.30h this morning, according to the Spokesperson for the Almuñécar fire service, who were called out together with an ambulance.
The 50-year-old woman, who is the driver of a school bus, dropped in the hole which was reportedly about two metres deep. Another pedestrian pulled her out of the hole
As soon as the ambulance arrived she was taken to Hospital Santa Ana in Motril for a check up and to have her cuts and bruises treated. In the meantime, the Policía Local have cordoned off the affected area.
