A woman is under investigation in Almería suspected of drugging elderly people in order to steal from their homes. One of the victims, aged 91, died as a reaction to the drug.

All told the woman allegedly preyed on five elderly victims between March and November last year.

According to the police she would call at their doors offering to help them with domestic chores as an official social worker.

Dressed in accordance with whom she pretended to be, she gained access to their home. Once inside she would offer to make them a beverage in order to administer a drug.

The woman is believed to have stolen, in this way, valuables with a combined worth of 15,000 euros
