The Policía Local in Motril confiscated over 345 falsified brand-name products from the mercadillo municipal one morning.

This weekly street market is held on the Rambla de los Álamos on Tuesdays.

Furthermore, officers arrested two street hawkers, aged 37 and 39 in relation to these items.

The police were called out to the street market by other stallholders who complained that individuals were hawking suspect items of clothes and footwear.

When the offices did arrive one of the hawkers tried to run off but didn’t get far as they were intercepted by another police patrol. The two arrested men are from Granada and Torrenueva Costa, respectively.
