Residents of an urbanización in Salobreña woke up to find a wild boar with its head stuck between the bars of an entrance gate.
The creature was not happy…
Before long the Policía Local and the fire service, as well as the Asociacion Protectora Animales SOS Salobreña were at the scene to do something about the pig sandwiched between iron bars… or better said, ‘a bacon sandwich.’
Using a noose they managed to both secure it and get it loose. Once free of the bars, they dragged it off to the nearby monte land and released it.
The gates belonged to a private house on the Urbanización Los Alminares, next to Urbanización Monte de Los Almendros.

I saw a pair and a baby piglet/boarlet(?) last year at dusk, on the rough approach road to where I live. I believe sadly that some bar steward had set et an illegal trap, as the local Boars were getting into his field. You ran a story about it. Poor thing ripped it’s leg off. At the approach of the police. (Never heard what happened to the moss pot. Hopefully his not a well person.) Anyway they can be a nuisance. But no more so then most of us humans.
