There will be two demonstrations in the city of Granada today; one in favour of Palestinian civilians in Gaza and the other against amnesty for Catalán Rebels.
In fact, the Coordinator for Andalucía con Palestina has convoked a protest march in each one of the eight provincial capitals throughout Andalucía, with the exception of Cádiz, so it’s not just in the city of Granada.
This Palestinian protest will take place at the exact same time; i.e., noon, as the one organised by the chief opposition party, the PP, against the Government’s plan to award the condition of amnesty for the Catalán politicians who attempted to bring about unilateral independence.
The amnesty agreement between the caretaker Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and the Catalán independentist parties (ERC/Junts) will ensure that he will be re-elected, avoiding the country having to go to the polls again in January.
The Coordinadora Andalucía con Palestina has organised the protest in solidarity with the Palestinian people, starting out from the Jardines del Triunfo. The protest organised by the PP, however, will be held in Plaza Nueva.
Therefore, unless you wish to participate in one of these protest marches, it would be best to avoid the city today as there will be traffic congestion.
