Booze, Boulder & Busted

The fiestas in Chía (Aragón) ended with somebody throwing a small boulder through the windscreen of a Guardia Civil, patrol car - not a good idea.

Now this didn’t happen recently, but rather back on May the 29th, 2022 around 03.50h in a town of fewer than a hundred inhabitants. This was when FJMA decided to throw the rock against the nice, clean windscreen of a parked, Nissan X-Trail, that just happened to belong to the Green Meanies.

His drinking pal, JAGM, although not forewarned, was reasonably impressed, as both were no strangers to the taste of alcohol that night! However…

An instantaneous and synchronised decision to leg it, sharpish, was executed and they fled to their parked van. Sniggering, no doubt, whilst peering over the dashboard, they probably thought that they had got away with it. However, a local saw it all, so when the officers turned up and contemplated their new bonnet adornment, he just happened to mention who had done it and what their vehicle looked like.

The officers set off in the damaged car with the witness onboard to identify the suspects’ van and soon found it. The witness not only pointed it out, but even told the officers that the individual wearing boxers shorts and a green polo shirt was the offender.

FJMA obligingly got out the van when told to but his companion JAGM, was at first reluctant and sat tight, refusing to identify himself. However when he did come forth, it was to start hitting things such as their van and an officer… before passing out.

Fast forward to the 15th of September this year, which was when they went to trial and the judge passed down the following sentence: Stone-Casting FJMA was fined 400 euros and ordered to pay for the damage repair (432 euros). His drinking buddy and fast fainter, JAGM, was not sent to prison for striking an officer, as the policeman suffered no injury, however, he does have to pay a fine of 1,800 euros for resisting arrest.
