It sounds a bit ominous but the title refers to the stone walkway from Cotobro beach to La Playa El Muerto in Almuñécar.
They have been busy erecting posts along this twisting path over the rocks and now the work is concluded — cha-chan!
The said work was carried out by Costas, who had hired the building company, Tragsa for the task.
Both the Councillor for Maintenance & Public Works, and the Municipal Surveyor, turned up for a photo shoot, whom we have cut out except for their legs because people want to see the finished job; not two office types who think that a ‘hammer’ is something you suspend between two trees and go to sleep on.
The workers who actually built it were nowhere to be seen.
There used to be posts with chains running between them but now there only appears to be posts with nothing joining them — strange!

Had a bit spare to use from the kitty. Let’s make it look nice. Spare cash to pay owed, overtime to the Policia? Naw!
And how long will these wooden posts last? When the sea is particularly rough along tbat path, especially in the winter months, wooden posts won’t survive more than a year or two
I wonder when the path connecting the beach to Marina del Este at the other end will be done. This would stimulate trade both for the port and Almunecar.
