Child Punched in the Face

Sometimes it is difficult to get your head around the action of others; take the case of a thief who punched a 5-year-old in the face.

AND Cafeteria in Malaga on Calle Horaacio LengoIt happened quite suddenly on the 26th of June around 10.10h: a mother and her young child were sat at a bar-terrace table in the city of Málaga (Calle Horacio Lengo) when a man approached the terrace and started asking people for money.

However, without exchanging further word, the man punched the 5-year-old in the face in order to distract the mother and make off with her mobile phone.

As if the kid hadn’t suffered enough, he cut his leg on a glass that had fallen and broken onto the ground in the scuffle, which was where the child had ended up.

As you can guess, the aggressor, aged 51, has a criminal record and has been charged with mugging using physical violence (as opposed to verbal threats).

The aggressor didn’t manage to make off with the mobile phone because when he tugged it out of the mother’s hand, it fell to the ground, at which point he ran off, so he was also charged with attempted theft.

Both the mother and child were taken by the Policía Local to the Medical Centre so that the former could be treated for his injuries and for the latter to recover from the shock.
