The Policía Nacional in Motril arrested a 32-year-old Spaniard, a known bad lad, accused of being behind five recent break-ins.
All of the incidents were carried out at the western end of town; three burglaries involved climbing up facades when the owners were asleep at home and two break-ins involving parked cars.
The police began investigating the three, early morning burglaries, inspecting the crime scene in search of clues and questioning people in the area, all of which pointed to the same individual.
The car break-ins occurred on the same days as the burglaries and fruit of these acts the suspect had allegedly taken a bank card and managed to obtain 700 euros in cash from a ATM.
Editorial comment: should he be put on a one-way flight to Romania, as well 😉
