The 14-year-old, lad who was hit by a tram in Granada has been discharged after spending the night in the Observation Ward.

According to several eye witnesses, the accident that occurred on Wednesday was provoked by the teenager who had hopped over a pedestrian-path railing whilst engrossed in his mobile phone, instead of looking where he was going.

He was discharged from Hospital Universitario Clínico San Cecilio at 13.00h yesterday afternoon.

Editorial comment: the first thing that his parents should do is confiscate his mobile phone.
