There was a small fire next to the urban area of the municipality of Lanjarón yesterday, which began around noon.

Infoca sent a fire vehicle with a group of firefighters to back Motril’s fire service which was already deployed there. They also deployed an aircraft.

Around 13.30h (an hour after the fire started) Infoca announced that the situation was developing favourably and that they were sending the aircraft back to base.

According to some locals, the fire was caused by an electricity cable that fell near housing where people were working on the land.
