The San José fiestas in La Herradura are well underway, having begun on Thursday and will last until Sunday.
The Mayor, Juan José Ruiz Joya, and the First Councillor of the village, Daniel Barbero, cut the ribbon to the entrance arch to the fairground.
Fifteen bars have set up stalls in the Feria de Día within the fort grounds, in front of the Caseta Oficial (municipal bar).
There’s also a photo exhibition entitled V Exposición de Fotografías Mi tierra, which has been set up in the municipal market. It has been organised by the Fotoclub Almuñécar La Herradura.
Their club members have provided 60 photographs, divided into four categories: People Today, Sports, Nature and Local Families. But there’s no rush as it will remain there until September and open to viewing during normal market hours so there’s plenty of time to chose your moment to visit it.
