Poachers Caught

The Guardia Civil are investigating four men for hunting with greyhounds, accused of poaching and infringing laws concerning flora and fauna.

On the 12th of February, the manager of hunting land in Diezma near Guadix had phoned the police to say that he had seen four individuals using dogs to hunt hares on their land without permission.

The officers belonging to the environmental department of the Guardia Civil, Seprona, arrived and questioned the men, aged between 20 and 60 years of age, who had come over from Almería.

None of them had permission from the owner of the land to hunt there. Furthermore two of them had been banned from hunting by the provincial delegation of the Junta de Andalucía. These two hunters will also face charges for infringing their ban terms.
