A 14-month-old baby fell from a 5th-floor window in Coruña in the north of Spain.

The accident occured on Monday afternoon in the area of the city known as Castrillón. It was the parents who alerted the emergency services. An ambulance and the Policía Nacional were despatch to the scene.

The specialised ambulance transferred the child using its mobile life-support equipment to the Hospital Materno Infantil but they were unable to save its life.

The Policía Nacional have opened an investigation into the happening but sources consulted say that it is being treated as an accident; a terrible oversight.
