Two cyclists needed to be rescued by helicopter in two different incidences yesterday; one in Nigüelas and one in Lanjarón.
The first accident occurred a little before 11.15h in the morning in Lanjarón when a 59-year old, cyclist fell down a barranco, inflicting several injuries upon herself.
This happened along a lane in the Tello area of the municipality.
Just 15 minutes later, at 11.30h, the emergency, call centre was again alerted, this time a cyclist had suffered an accident in Nigüelas (Rinconada) along a dirt track.
Both incidents required the use of the Guardia Civil, rescue helicopter in order to take the victims to the main hospital in Granada, the Parque Tecnológico de la Salud.
