There was a bit of a scare on a municipal bus in Granada after it caught fire enroute for the Barrio de El Fargue.
The emergency number 112 was bombarded with calls from people; both drivers and pedestrians, who had witnessed the Number-Eight bus start to burn.
Two fire engines were needed to put the flames out, but not before the vehicle had been consumed by the fire.
All ten of the passengers onboard at the time escaped injury thanks to their rapidly abandoning the bus once it had quickly pulled up to a halt.
So far, it is not clear whether there had been a short circuit or the engine had overheated.
