Disappearing Pinewood

Following up on the affair, we contacted Javier from the ecologist group GENA and, together with photographs, located exactly where the tree-clearing had taken place.

We left it in their hands to contact the environmental branch of the Guardia Civil, Seprona, so that they could in turn investigate who owns the land and whether they had permission to cut that many trees down. We’re talking about approximately two hectares of pine forest, judging by both our photos and a Google Earth satellite image of the pinewood prior to it being cleared.
